Pallas Orthopaedics is committed to providing its patients with comprehensive, personalised diagnostic services. Our main diagnostic services are described below.

Specialist examination

The purpose of the orthopaedic specialist examination is a thorough assessment of musculoskeletal problems and an accurate diagnosis. Our specialists take a detailed medical history, reviewing current complaints, previous illnesses, injuries and operations. They then carry out a physical examination, assessing the range of motion of the joints, muscle strength, any deformities and the exact location of the pain.

Where necessary, further imaging such as X-ray, MRI or CT may be arranged to help establish an accurate diagnosis. The orthopaedic specialist examination is essential for working out the right treatment plan, whether conservative therapy or surgery.

Follow-up examination

The purpose of follow-up examinations is to monitor previously diagnosed musculoskeletal problems and to assess how effective the treatment is. They allow our specialists to follow changes in the patient’s condition and to adjust the treatment plan if needed.

During a follow-up the doctor assesses how the symptoms are developing, checks the function of joints and muscles, and evaluates the result of earlier procedures or therapies. This is especially important during rehabilitation after surgery or injury, to ensure proper healing and full recovery of function.

Consultation

A consultation gives our patients the chance to discuss their complaints, questions and concerns in detail with our specialists. It is an opportunity to understand their condition, the available treatment options, and the benefits and risks of each.

During the consultation the doctor explains the diagnosis in detail, presents the available treatment methods and helps the patient make the most suitable decision. This way the patient takes an active part in shaping their own treatment plan and fully understands every step of the process.

Second opinion

Asking for a second opinion can be an important step for those who are looking for further confirmation or an alternative to an existing diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Our specialists carefully review earlier medical documentation, imaging and findings, and then recommend the most suitable treatment approach based on their own assessment.

This service is especially useful for complex or rare musculoskeletal problems, or when the patient is unsure about a previously proposed treatment plan. A second opinion can help confirm the diagnosis, offer a new perspective, and make sure the patient receives the best care.
